Ms. Rapp Receives Grant
This month, The Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation (IRTAF) awarded $36,500 in grant money to 73 public school educators statewide. Out of the 73 winners, Ms. Rapp was one of them! Ms. Rapp says that with the grant, she plans to purchase books for her classroom that she can use for current and future students. She states, "I have an inclusive classroom, and teaching the classics can be a challenge for students that struggle with decoding, comprehension, and vocabulary." She goes on to say, "I will purchase the "No Fear, Shakespeare" versions of Romeo and Juliet, Julius Caesar, and Macbeth so that all levels of students can gain an appreciation for these works."
