In Memory of Sherry Willis, WGS Kindergarten Teacher

Mrs. Sherry Willis was a beloved teacher at Woodlawn Grade School. She taught kindergarten for over 30 years, and was loved, respected, and remembered by her students, fellow teachers, parents, and community members. Donations are being collected at both schools in her honor. The money that is donated will be used to purchase a memorial plaque to be placed outside her former classroom. Sherry’s wish was for everyone to continue her love of learning and literacy by reading a book to a child. To honor her wishes, donated money will also be used to purchase books for the library at Woodlawn Grade School, as well as a bookcase. For generations to come, students will have the opportunity to read “one of Mrs. Willis’s books.” If you would like to donate, please send your donations to either the grade school or high school office. |
