    • Did you know the probability of being born on February 29 is 1 in 1,461?
    • While you may know the reason we add a day to our calendar every 4 years (which is to ensure our calendar aligns with the seasons), did you know that occasionally we skip a leap year?
    • Adding a leap day once every four years eventually results in our calendar becoming 44 minutes too long.  Therefore, years that are evenly divisible by 100 but not evenly divisible by 400 are skipped.  We skipped years in 1700, 1800 and 1900, but not 2000.  The next leap year skipped will be 2100, which some of you may see!
