This is just a reminder that this afternoon both WHS and WGS will conduct their annual lockdown drills in coordination with law enforcement as required by Illinois law. This drill was previously announced to parents and scheduled ahead of time.

While the District has medical insurance for students injured in accidents on school premises, the policy does not cover all accidents outside of normal school hours. The District's carries does offer additional extended coverage for parents to purchase if they are interested. You may find more information on the District website under WGS>forms, or WHS>forms..
Both WGS and WHS will dismiss at 2:10 on Thursday August 20 for staff training. We apologize for the late notice. The after school program is also cancelled that day.

To follow up on last year's success, Woodlawn Schools will host its 2nd annual Back 2 School Bash at both schools on Friday, August 14 from 5pm-8pm.

There will not be summer golf practice for WGS or WHS golfers on July 23. The final summer golf practice will be on July 30.
As school sports will be starting up soon we just want to remind everyone that all students must have an active physical on file with the school in order to practice with the team. If you are not sure if your child's physical is current, call the school and they can let you know.
The regular board meeting of the Board of Education scheduled for 7/16/26 has been canceled due to a lack of a quorum. There will be a special meeting held at 6pm on 7/23/26 to conduct the Board's regular business.
