CALLING ALL SURROUNDING AREAS!!! 🏀 🏀
Myself and Brendan Klingler, proud members of the Jefferson County CEO Program, are excited to present Waltonville Court Wars. A 3v3 bracket-based basketball tournament that not only supports Brendan and my efforts in our CEO program, but also brings the local basketball community together for fun, competition, and a true Spartan experience.
All participants and spectators can expect a well-organized event run with professionalism and high energy, ensuring everyone has an unforgettable experience on and off the court. From fast-paced games and exciting bracket matchups to community engagement and team spirit, every aspect of Waltonville Court Wars is designed to bring people together. Whether you’re competing with your squad, cheering from the sidelines, or just soaking in the Spartan atmosphere, you’ll feel the thrill, unity, and pride that make this tournament truly special. Plus, with opportunities to connect with fellow basketball enthusiasts and support local initiatives, this is more than just a game. It’s a celebration of our community. What better way to give back to basketball-loving communities?
As shown on the flyer attached below, the date of this event will take place on Saturday, September 27th. The tournament will feature four divisions, giving players of all ages a chance to compete. Teams will be grouped into 5th/6th grade, 7th/8th grade, 9th/10th grade, and 11th-12th grade and up to players out of highschool, ensuring fair matchups and plenty of competitive action throughout the day. It is advised to bring at least one additional player in case of an injury or other circumstances. There are 10 team spots offered to each age division. We recommend pre-registering to guarantee your team’s spot. Walk-ins will be very limited. If you do pre-register, please have your team entry fee of $50 be paid by at least 48 hours before the event, via Venmo. The team entry application is posted at the bottom of this post. We were given access to both the grade school and high school gyms, so pending which age division you are in is where you will go. The youth, who are in 5th through 8th grade, will go to the grade school gym. High school will play in the high school gym. Games will start sharply at 9 AM, so please have your teams paid for, gathered, and ready to bring their A game. Prizes will be awarded to each age division champion. When there is a small break between games, mini-games such as the half-court contest will be played. All are welcome to participate. Admission is free for the athletes after they are registered; spectators will be charged $2 for entry. A 50/50 raffle will be held as well; tickets will be sold at the admission desk. Concessions, baked goods, and other items will be sold throughout the entirety of the event. Music will be played over speakers as games are going on to keep the energy high. All athletes participating are fully expected to wear basketball shoes; street shoes will not be tolerated on the gym floor.
Both Brendan and I are here to help. Whether you have questions about anything regarding the event, contact us at our respected information or comment down below. If you would like to volunteer to help out with concessions, scorekeeping, or cleaning up, please fill out the volunteer application.
A huge thank you goes out to the Waltonville High School administration. Without them, this event would not be happening. We are proud to say we attend Waltonville High School and are blessed to have leaders who value community involvement and support opportunities that bring people together!
There are no restraints to who can participate! First come, first serve! Any and everyone within the age range can participate.

Gage Peterson — 618 - 322 - 0950
