Woodlawn High School is excited to announce the launch of our Cooperative Education Work Program — a new opportunity for students to gain real-world experience while earning school credit!
This course helps students develop professional skills, explore career paths, and build positive workplace relationships — all while working in the community. Students spend part of their week in paid positions and the rest in the classroom learning job survival skills, personal development, and future career planning.
We’re looking for local businesses and organizations to partner with us and provide meaningful work experiences for motivated, job-ready students!
As a partner, you’ll:
- Gain reliable student employees eager to learn
- Help shape the future workforce
- Build community connections and visibility
- Collaborate with a dedicated coordinator who supports both employer and student success
We are hoping to place students in positions that align with their long-term career goals. Below are some examples of positions that may be a good fit:
- Business Office Assistant
- Social Media/Marketing Assistant or Intern
- Automotive Shop Assistant
- Maintenance Technician Intern
- Community Outreach
If your business has any open opportunities, is interested in joining this exciting new program or learning more, please contact:
Hannah Cooper, Co-op Coordinator - hcooper@woodlawnschools.org
Leslie Witzel, Guidance Counselor - lwitzel@woodlawnschools.org
