While the District has medical insurance for students injured in accidents on school premises, the policy does not cover all accidents outside of normal school hours. Both WGS and WHS will dismiss at 2:10 on Thursday August 20 for staff training. We apologize for the late notice. The after school program is also cancelled that day.

There will not be summer golf practice for WGS or WHS golfers on July 23. The final summer golf practice will be on July 30.
As school sports will be starting up soon we just want to remind everyone that all students must have an active physical on file with the school in order to practice with the team. If you are not sure if your child's physical is current, call the school and they can let you know.
The regular board meeting of the Board of Education scheduled for 7/16/26 has been canceled due to a lack of a quorum. There will be a special meeting held at 6pm on 7/23/26 to conduct the Board's regular business.

We are still in the process of finalizing the online registration process for both WGS and WHS. We will send out an update when it is ready. In-person registration for new students for both WGS and WHS will be held from 1pm-6pm on Monday July 27 at WGS. Returning students will be able to register online via Teacherease when that process opens.
Due to asbestos abatement work being done the school district's phone lines will be down until July 9. If you need anything, please email an administrator or secretary. If you have an urgent issue, call the main school number and your call will be forwarded to an administrator who will get back to you.
Sorry for the late notice, but after monitoring the weather WGS and WGS golf practice for today, June 25, is canceled due to probable incoming storms. We will not practice next week due to the July 4th holiday week, but will return on Thursday, July 9.

WGS has announced summer baseball workouts and tryout dates for boys entering 5th-8th grades for the 2026 season. Optional open fields will be held at Chapman on 7/13 and 7/16 from 8:30-10:30am. Tryouts will be held at Chapman on Monday 7/20 from 8:30-10:30am.
For those that make the team, practices will be at Chapman and will begin the week of July 20. Coach Woodrome will send out more information to the team following tryouts.
