Tomorrow we’ll find out which two 1st graders will represent their class as our 2026 Homecoming Flower Girl & Crown Bearer! All eligible and interested 1st-grade students will be entered into a random name wheel, and the winners will be selected completely at random.

At the end of the 2025-2026 school year, we awarded scholarships to deserving seniors, and we hope to increase that amount during the 2026-2027 school year. Our scholarships are driven by the number of pints of blood collected at our drives held during the year. Please consider making a blood donation to save a life and fund a scholarship. Thank you!

This is just a reminder that this afternoon both WHS and WGS will conduct their annual lockdown drills in coordination with law enforcement as required by Illinois law. This drill was previously announced to parents and scheduled ahead of time.

Save the date for fall picture day, next Thursday, August 27th! All students, staff, and members of the fall sports teams will be photographed.
While the District has medical insurance for students injured in accidents on school premises, the policy does not cover all accidents outside of normal school hours. The District's carries does offer additional extended coverage for parents to purchase if they are interested. You may find more information on the District website under WGS>forms, or WHS>forms..
Both WGS and WHS will dismiss at 2:10 on Thursday August 20 for staff training. We apologize for the late notice. The after school program is also cancelled that day.
